The Open House hosted by the Friends of the St. Martin Public Library was a great success!!! Many library users learned more about what important role the Friends play in helping to fund our programs. In celebration of Teen Read Week in October,  we are hosting our annual Spooky Story Contest. The grand prize is an iPad!!! Hurry and get your stories submitted before it is too late. Full rules and details are posted below.    

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is hosting a "Read-A-Thon Challenge". Fans of the book series are invited to compete for a chance to meet Jeff Kinney in person! The deadline for entries is October 17th. To learn more, visit wimpykid.com/readathon/. Good luck to all of our readers!

It's that time of year again! Time to start reading titles nominated for the State of Louisiana's Readers' Choice Programs. Louisiana Young Readers' Choice and Louisiana Teen Readers' Choice are programs designed for students in grades 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12.  Students are invited to participate by reading a minimum of 3 titles from one of the lists and then voting for their favorite title.
