HeritageQuest Online: With over 28,000 books currently available, the entire U.S. Federal Census, PERSI™, Freedman’s Bank Records, Revolutionary War Pension Records, and other expanding collections, HeritageQuest Online is designed specifically for patrons in public libraries who are either just beginning their family research or who after years of work are still uncovering their past.

HomeworkLA Introduction Video: This video provides a brief introduction to Homework Louisiana – a service funded by the State Library of Louisiana and your local public library.

Biography Reference Center: YouTube video demonstrating the Biography Reference Center database. This database provides a comprehensive collection of more than 450,000 full text biographies, including the complete full text run of Biography Today and Biography Magazine, as well as thousands of narrative biographies that are not available in other databases.

Explora for Primary School Users:   Reliable content from the world’s leading magazines and reference books.

Explora for Middle and High School Users: Reliable content from the world’s leading magazines and reference books.

Flipster on Desktop Computers – Tutorial: This tutorial demonstrates Flipster, a database of digital magazines.

Pronunciator: Learn one of 80 languages, practice English as a Second Language or study for the citizenship test.

World Book Online Encyclopedia: Online version of the renowned encyclopedia. Available in French and Spanish.

OverDrive Help Getting Started Videos:  These videos will help you get started accessing digital media (eBooks, eAudiobooks, and digital videos ); The “Libby” video will preview use of the mobile app. The “Library websites” video will demonstrate use of the library’s OverDrive collection in a web browser.

GCF LearnFree: Tutorials on a variety of subjects, including software tutorials; suitable for beginning and intermediate skill levels.

DigitalLearn: Basic computer tutorials for beginners.

Techboomers.com: Techboomers.com is a free educational website that teaches inexperienced Internet users with basic computer skills about websites that can help improve their quality of life.

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Access): Free tutorials from Microsoft on how to use their products, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Publisher and Access 2007-2013. Training courses are organized by product, then by skill level.

Adobe Creative Suite: Includes videos for the full Adobe creative suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, LightRoom and others. Suitable for beginners and intermediate students.
