Week One of the Summer Reading Program brings us plenty of fun and activities. Story Time explores dragons and attendees go home with a paper plate dragon craft. The in-library craft is Dragon Puppets. Make Toothless or other favorite dragon character. We offer socially distanced spaces for our activities, with attendees seated at least 6 feet apart. Each activity is offered twice per day at each branch due to limits on group size. Registration is required for all in-library events.

For patrons who choose not to attend in-library activities, we offer Take-Home Craft Kits. This week, they are the same crafts as the in-library crafts. However, next week we will offer a whole different set of crafts. Take-Home Craft Kits do not require registration; just grab and go.

Book Club will meet in the library this month. Instead of focusing on a specific title, we will have a casual discussion about our favorite quarantine reads.

We will offer one adult-only craft (ages 16+) this week: Fairy Tale Silhouettes. Participants will create a delicate and beautiful scene using artistic paper cutting skills.

Our summer performer will appear online this year. it will be different than the past, their shows are still very enjoyable. This week, we are thrilled to present Mouse Tales by Calliope Puppets. Watch two puppet show featuring miniature marionettes. Then, learn how Ms. Karen makes her puppets and make your own along with her using simple household materials. Her show will be available from June 15-19 with an encore performance in July.
