We have started the second half of the 2020 Summer Reading Program. How is your reading going? Don’t forget to turn in your book log for a prize. Reading logs are due at your local library branch by July 25.

Last week was a fun exploration of classic fairy tales and nursery rhymes. We also made lots of colorful Alice in Wonderland flowers at our in-person craft. The Take-Home Craft Kits have been a hit so stop by your local branch to pick up one or two. New crafts are available every Monday.

This week’s Story Time will feature tales of royalty – kings, queens, princes, and princesses. Our all-ages craft will be Dragon Origami – a realistic looking paper dragon eye.

Our Take-Home Craft Kits will include the same Dragon Origami plus Unicorn Puppets.

Calliope Puppets presents two new shows this week, both featuring Louisiana Tricksters: “Campere Lapin en le Jardin” and “Turtle Soup.” Enjoy watching her miniature marionette puppets, learn how they are made, and stay tuned after the show to make your own puppet. Click here to watch the show.

Imagine Your Story tote bags are available for purchase at each branch. We have limited supplies so don’t miss out.
