We made it! It is the final week of a busy albeit different Summer Reading Program. Thank you again to everyone in our community who participated, whether that meant signing up for the reading program, taking home a Craft Kit or attending a story time. We are so glad to be able to provide some fun during this challenging time.
Don’t forget to turn in your Summer Reading Log. Even if you forgot to register online, you can still turn in your log for prizes. Logs are due at your local branch by closing time (12 pm) on Saturday, July 25. 400 minutes or 4 books earns you a cool completion prize and a raffle ticket into the Grand Prize drawing. We will be awarding Amazon gift cards and other goodies this year.
Alice in Wonderland Flowers will be offered again at Breaux Bridge on Wed, July 22 at 11 am. This is a rescheduled craft from June. Please call the Breaux Bridge Branch at 332-2733 to register.
Who wants to go to Hogwarts? Harry Potter Wands will be offered at Parks on Monday, July 20 and Cecilia on Tuesday, July 21. Registration is required. This craft lasts about 2 hours and involves a hot glue gun, so please do not bring small children. It takes some patience and concentration but the end result is worth the effort.
Book Club will meet on Thursday, July 23 to discuss The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. The Parks and St. Martinville groups will meet together at the Parks Branch this month. The August book club title, Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng, is now available at all branches for pick-up. Call ahead to reserve your copy.
