ST. MARTN PARISH LIBRARY HOSTING ACADIANA WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS ENROLLMENT FAIR

St. Martinville, La. – St. Martin Parish Library has received a special round of funding to help our library system further respond directly and immediately to the many needs of our communities as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. Through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS) awarded $3,012,150 to the State Library of Louisiana to be disbursed to public libraries in Louisiana. The St. Martin Parish Library has received $47,064 of that funding.

With ARPA funding, St. Martin Parish Library has partnered with Acadiana Workforce Solutions to hold enrollment fairs at multiple library locations. These enrollment fairs are designed to educate the public on programs that help job seekers access employment, education, training, and career services in order to succeed in the labor market! Three sessions are being offered in November. All sessions will take place between 12 noon and 3 PM, and light refreshments will be served. Anyone interested in attending should contact the local library in order to register.

The first session will take place at the St. Martinville Branch Library on Thursday, November 4, 2021. The phone number for that location is 337-394-2207, ext. 223.
