Calling all Book Lovers! Beginning on Monday, August 17th, we will be having a book sale at four branch libraries. Our St. Martinville, Breaux Bridge, Cecilia, and Parks branch libraries will be selling books for only 10 cents per book. The book sale will run for 3 weeks, ending on Saturday, September 5th.

Your St. Martin Parish Library now has two Flag Disposal bins!!! In addition to the bin in St. Martinville, a bin was added in Breaux Bridge this morning. Our thanks goes out again to the New Iberia Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution for donating these bins. Flags collected by the DAR will be disposed of according to the United States flag code.

In partnership with Driving-Tests.org, St. Martin Parish Public Library now provides patrons with access to FREE online LA DMV practice tests. This resource includes 11 car tests, 8 motorcycle tests, 3 CDL tests, and access to official online handbooks. To get started, visit https://stmartinpl.driving-tests.org/

Thanks to a grant received from the Acadiana Center for the Arts, the St. Martin Parish Library was able to arrange for a visit from Matt Sandbank’s Shadow Factory. Here are two pictures from the shadow puppet workshop held at the Breaux Bridge Branch Library yesterday as part of our Summer Reading Program.
