St. Martin Parish Library subscribes to fun reading programs that parents and children can access from home!  Two of these programs are Scholastic BookFlix and TumbleBookLibrary.

Scholastic BookFlix is an online literacy resource that pairs classic video storybooks with related nonfiction eBooks to build a love of reading and learning.  This engaging resource for children in grades PreK-3 will help early readers develop and practice essential reading skills and introduces students to a world of knowledge and exploration.

TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of e-books for children.  They are a great way to encourage tech-savvy kids to enjoy reading! There are over 250 animated, talking picture books! The site also features Spanish and French books, read-along chapter books, non-fiction books, and exciting games and puzzles for children in kindergarten through sixth grade!

Parents and children can access Scholastic BookFlix and TumbleBookLibrary anywhere there is an Internet connection –it’s like having access to the library’s collection 24 hours a day, seven days a week!  It’s unlimited, and it’s FREE!
